Day 1: January 19th, Flew into Auckland, New Zealand and got our stuff packed into our 2 big white vans that will be our transportation for our time in New Zealand. First stop after the airport was the beach! Got 30 minutes away and our van broke down...first adventure :) so Dave took his van to the beach and we pushed ours to the side of the road and waited for someone to help us out. It was pretty funny, and made for some quick bonding with some of the group.
Made our way to the Mauri in Waitomo, which was our home for the next few days.
PC1 was still there for another night which was nice, we were able to see the other members doing this trip. Had a great dinner then went down the road to Curly's, a little pub.
